Marcus Selva Private Wealth AdvisorMarcus is a Private Wealth Advisor with Snowden Lane Partners’ Strategic Management Group. With over a decade of industry experience, he has a wide breadth of knowledge and extensive experience in Wealth Management.

Beginning his career as a licensed Energy Broker, Marcus worked exclusively with accredited investors and realized that being restricted to the oil and gas investment industry limited his interaction with clients. During a short time working as a New Business Consultant for the San Antonio Spurs, he realized his true passion for building meaningful professional relationships and helping high net worth and ultra-high net worth families pursue their financial goals. Over the following six years at Merrill Lynch, Marcus went on to become one of a few financial advisors to complete the rigorous Practice Management Development Program, where he also earned an Excellence Award for being in the top quintile of that elite group. He served many families as a Global Wealth & Investment Management Financial Advisor and was awarded on three different occasions for collaborating across the organization to provide a wide range of financial solutions for his clients. That desire to help clients succeed led to Marcus being ranked number one in the region among his peers immediately preceding his transition to Snowden Lane.

Marcus works with a select group of clients to deliver “Techtonic Private Wealth Management” which he defines as, “the extensive use of technology and personal attention to cultivate intimate professional relationships and provide a financial advisory experience that is a major shift away from both the boring norm and the robotic trend.” He works hard to gain a deep understanding of each family’s entire financial situation and what financial success looks like to them. This allows him to provide comprehensive, tailored investment strategies that can be adapted as needed during frequent contact with clients.

Marcus earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas A&M University in 2007. As a lifelong San Antonio resident, he is passionate about giving back to his community and has served as a member and President of the San Antonio Airport Rotary Club and also as a board member of the Network for Young Artists. Currently, Marcus focuses his community service as a volunteer first responder with TEXSAR -Texas Search and Rescue, a non-profit organization that provides emergency management support across the state. Marcus enjoys spending down time with his three sons, hiking and watching sports, particularly college football and the Spurs.
