June 2019
Snowden Lane Partners, a New York-based wealth advisory firm, expanded into Florida with the opening of a new office in Coral Gables.
The firm hired two teams of former Merrill Lynch advisors with a combined $344 million in client assets under management to staff the Coral Gableslocation.
Rob Mooney, Snowden Lane‘s managing partner and CEO, said establishing a presence in South Florida would help the firm build its international business.
“We think more financial advisor teams will realize that a specialty boutique like ours, with proven capabilities and deep experience, can provide a superior client experience,” Mooney said in a statement.
Owenn Parr and Francisco Murillo have joined Snowden Lane to form the Parr Murillo Group as partners and managing directors. They previously managed $187 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch.
In addition, Arnaldo Rego and Georgia Arias have joined the firm to form the Rego Arias Group. They also join Snowden Lane from Merrill Lynch, where the pair oversaw $157 million in client assets.
The Par Murillo Group and Rego Arias Group both specialize in serving domestic and international high-net worth families and institutions, with an emphasis on financial planning and estate planning.
The Coral Gables office is Snowden Lane‘s 10th U.S. location. The firm also has a presence in Pasadena and San Diego, California; New Haven, Connecticut; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; San Antonio, Texas; and Baltimore, Salisbury and Bethesda Maryland, in addition to its headquarters in New York City.
