Joe Oliveira Senior Partner, Managing DirectorJoe Oliveira is a Senior Partner, Managing Director at Snowden Lane Partners and founding team member of the OSM Global Wealth Management Group. As a 21 year veteran of the financial industry, Joe utilizes the consultative approach to portfolio design focusing on each individual client’s investment need and tolerance for risk.
Joe immigrated from Portugal in 1970 and became a United States citizen in 1985. He graduated from Daniel Webster College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management. Joe began his professional career with Eastern Airlines and Continental Airlines Sales. Wanting to continue his professional growth, Joe became a crude oil ship broker. He worked with some of the world’s largest energy producers in Brazil, Venezuela and the United States.
Joe started his financial career in 2000, obtaining his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses at Paine Webber/UBS. He then continued his career in finance at JP Morgan, focusing on domestic and non-resident wealth management. As an International Financial Advisor, Joe traveled extensively to Latin America and Europe and developed strong knowledge of the international markets and the specific needs of the non-resident clients. Most recently, Joe served as a Vice President, Senior Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors where he continued to develop his skills.
Joe’s consultative approach to wealth management positions the client and their financial needs first and foremost. This collaborative approach to portfolio design results in highly tailored investment solutions. While the markets have rewarded long term investors, strategic and tactical allocations at opportunistic points can help reduce risk and better position portfolios for the long term. Consulting with clients at these key inflection points keeps the client and the advisor focused on their long-term goals.
Joe Oliveira is a married father of two and a longtime resident of Watchung, New Jersey. He enjoys travelling, sports, spending time with family and appreciating all of God’s blessings. On occasion, he has been known to frustrate himself playing golf.
